General sales terms and conditions. ​​

 

The purpose of these terms and conditions of sale is to define the terms and conditions under which the Quinta da Rabaçosa establishment allows its customers to benefit from all the services available, in particular reservations.

 

 

Booking and deposit.

 

The prices given are public, in euros, including taxes and services, with the exception of tourist tax, which must be paid on site. The amount of tourist tax may vary according to legal provisions. 

 

Rates are made up of inseparable elements that are non-refundable in the event of non-use (breakfast, for example). 

 

The price of the room(s) agreed at the time of booking and paid by the customer is the definitive price. The customer will not be able to claim a change of rate on his/her confirmed reservation in the event of subsequent promotions offered by the establishment via its reservation service, its website or other partner sites.

 

Confirmation of a booking implies acceptance of our general terms and conditions of sale and cancellation. The customer thus declares that he/she has obtained all the information necessary from the establishment to make his/her choice.

 

For individual bookings of two rooms or less:

  • Prepayment equivalent to 100% of the total amount of the stay made 7 days before arrival at 23:59 (hotel time) or at the time of booking.

  • Any extras consumed by the guest must be paid for on the day of departure by credit card or in cash at reception. 

 

For group bookings and/or bookings of three or more rooms:

  • A deposit of 50% of the total cost of the stay must be paid by bank transfer at the time of booking. Payment of the deposit confirms the booking.

  • The balance of 50% must be paid 30 days before arrival at 23.59 (hotel time) or at the time of booking.

  • If the booking is made less than 30 days before arrival, the total amount of the stay must be paid by bank transfer at the time of booking. The payment confirms the booking.

  • Any extras consumed by the customer must be paid for on the day of departure by credit card or in cash at reception. 

 

If the balance due is not paid by the agreed date, the holiday will be considered cancelled by the customer and the conditions of sale and cancellation will apply accordingly. 

 

In the event of payment by bank transfer or credit card, the bank charges must be paid by the customer and added to the total amount of the holiday. 

 

For direct bookings (telephone, on site, email), the customer is informed of the availability of these general terms and conditions of sale on our website in the email they receive with their booking confirmation. 

 

Customers have the option of saving these terms and conditions using the standard functions of their browser or computer.

 

 

Change of stay.

 

All requests for changes to the dates of stay or cancellations must be notified in writing to the reservations department no later than 7 days before the scheduled arrival date. Please note that a change in pricing may apply.

 

Any stay interrupted by the customer or any services booked and not used by the customer for any reason whatsoever, including medical reasons and force majeure, will not give rise to any reimbursement. 

 

Cancellation by the customer.

 

In the event of a no-show or the customer's inability to arrive on the scheduled arrival date, 100% of the nights in question will be charged. In the event of a no-show, the customer has 24 hours to notify a new arrival date. After 24 hours, the hotel reserves the right to resell the room. 

 

We advise customers to take out an insurance policy covering cancellation costs. 

 

All reservations are subject to the following cancellation conditions. 

 

For individual bookings of two rooms or less:

  • Modification or cancellation free of charge up to 7 days before scheduled arrival.

  • Modification or cancellation between 7 days and scheduled arrival: 100% of the initial amount is due, no refund is possible.

For group bookings and/or bookings of three or more rooms:

  • Modification or cancellation free of charge up to 30 days before scheduled arrival.

  • Modification or cancellation between 30 days and scheduled arrival: 100% of the initial amount is due, no refund is possible.

 

 

Cancellation by the establishment.

 

The booking contract may be terminated by the establishment, without this giving rise to the payment of damages to customers, in the event of events constituting force majeure, or in the event of the establishment being unable to operate.

 

Pre-authorisations will be cancelled and deposits paid will be refunded. 

 

 

Conditions of stay and liability.

 

Prior to any booking, the customer undertakes to complete the compulsory information requested when creating the booking file. 

 

The customer attests to the truthfulness and accuracy of the information provided.

 

At the time of booking, the customer will be asked to specify the number of people - adults and children - as well as the surname and first name of each person. Under no circumstances may the number of people exceed the maximum capacity of the room. 

 

All guests must present a valid form of identification at check-in. If they fail to do so, the establishment may refuse to rent them a room and/or cancel the reservation they have made, without any possibility of reimbursement, in accordance with the conditions of modification or cancellation. 

 

Arrival and departure times must be respected, failing which the customer will be subject to additional charges corresponding to the rate for the extra night. 

 

  • Arrival: the room is available from 5pm. Guests are welcome to use the hotel's facilities from 2pm.

 

  • Departure: Guests are asked to leave the hotel by 12 noon.

 

Customers undertake to respect private and communal areas and will be held responsible for any damage they cause. Any behaviour contrary to public decency, internal regulations or public order will lead the management of the establishment to ask the customer to leave the establishment without any compensation or reimbursement. 

 

Any damage caused by the customer or by the occupants, in the room or in the various areas occupied by the customer during his/her stay, must be reported to the establishment's reception and may be billed directly to the customer in the amount of the repair costs. 

 

The photographs presented on the site are not contractually binding. Although every effort is made to ensure that the photographs, graphic representations and texts reproduced to illustrate the establishment presented give as accurate an idea as possible of the accommodation services offered, variations may occur, particularly due to changes in furniture or possible renovations. The customer may not make any claims in this respect.

 

 

​Price list.

 

Room reservation prices are communicated before and at the time of booking. The prices quoted are per room for the number of person(s) and dates selected.

 

The total cost of the reservation will be shown on confirmation of the customer's booking. 

Prices include VAT, applicable on the day of booking, and any change in the VAT rate will automatically be reflected in the prices indicated on the invoice date. 

 

Prices are confirmed to the customer inclusive of all taxes, in the commercial currency of the establishment. The prices quoted are valid for a specific period only. 

 

Any modification or introduction of new legal or regulatory taxes imposed by the competent authorities will automatically be reflected in the price indicated on the invoice date. These taxes will be communicated to the customer at the time of booking, if they are known to the establishment at that time. The customer undertakes to pay these various taxes to the establishment without any dispute. 

 

 

​Payments.

 

Customers provide their payment details to confirm their booking before their stay and to guarantee the booking in the event of a no-show. In the case of a bank card, the information required is: the bank card number, with no spaces between the digits, the date of validity (it is specified that the bank card used must be valid at the time of the stay) and the visual cryptogram in the case of a pre-authorisation.

 

The online payment methods available and communicated may be Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and American Express. Payment by bank transfer may be requested by the customer.

Any extras consumed by the customer must be paid for on the day of departure by credit card or in cash at reception. 

 

 

Personal data.

 

Your personal data requested as part of your booking, i.e. your title, surname, first name, postal address, telephone number with country code, e-mail address, payment card details (number, type of card, name of holder, expiry date and cryptogram if sent to us) and any data communicated or generated by your browsing constitute confidential data. 

 

Certain information requested in the forms is mandatory and is indicated by an asterisk. If you choose not to provide this information, the establishment will not be able to process your request. 

 

Entirety.

 

These general terms and conditions of sale, the establishment's internal regulations, the terms and conditions of sale of the tariff booked by the customer, and the booking confirmation express the entirety of the obligations of the parties. 

 

No general or specific conditions communicated by the customer may be added to these general conditions. 

 

In the event of any contradiction between the booking confirmation and these general terms and conditions, the provisions of the booking confirmation shall be the only ones applicable to the obligation in question. 

 

 

Complaints.

 

Your satisfaction is our priority. If you have any complaints, please let us know as soon as possible, either when you arrive at the establishment or in writing afterwards. 

 

In the event of a dispute or serious problem, customers can ask for a complaints book to record their grievances.

Animals.

 

The establishment accepts dogs as pets subject to availability, provided they are small and with the exception of potentially dangerous dogs (PDD). In the event of a request for accommodation with another type of pet that is not a dog or a dog that is larger than the stipulated size, the customer must check with the establishment about the possibility of accommodation, again subject to availability.

 

In our establishment, we offer pet beds, a feeder, a drinking trough and the special cleaning that this entails. All the comforts for pets and their owners.

 

The pet supplement, which includes all of the above, is €5.00 per night.
